Animated figures entertain the crowds from the balconies on the east side of the Mission in.  You can see several of the guest rooms here. Many presidents have stayed at the inn over the years.

The Mission Inn covers a full square block.  This is the east half of the south facade.  Through the main arch is the walkway up to the registration desk.  You pass under another arch/bell tower along the way. I think

From the courtyard before the lights were turned on.  Our favorite restaurant, La Capenas, is outside, in the garden, under those palms.  You can see some of the third story guest rooms.
The Mission Inn was built from 1903 to 1931.  It is on of Riverside's leading hotels, and has had many famous guests, including 10 U. S. Presidents.  It was never a mission, but was built in "mission" sty.e.

Seen here is the south side of the hotel's west wing. Just enough lights are added to give it a Christmas Cheer look. The courtyard is to the right and the campanile is seen on the right edge of the picture.
