Great Falls, Montana has no shortage of autumn events that showcase the citys rugged, picturesque, historic, charming and unpretentious nature. From outdoor activities to cultural festivals, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

One mustsee event is the Great Falls Farmers Market (2 Park Drive South), which takes place every Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm until October. Here you can find fresh produce and homemade goods from local farmers and vendors. Try some huckleberry jam or take home a pumpkin to carve for Halloween.

For those who want to experience local history, make sure to visit Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center (4201 Giant Springs Road) located alongside the Missouri River. This center details the story of explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark who travelled across this area more than 200 years ago.

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate visiting Giant Springs State Park (4803 Giant Springs Road). The park features beautiful trails where visitors can stroll along several paths throughout breathtaking scenery with plenty of opportunities for wildlife watching. Finally round out your trip by attending one of many cultural events like Celtic Festival at Paris Gibson Square Museum (1400 First Avenue North) on September 18th from noon 6 PM featuring Scottish dance performances or check out Art in Autumn at West Bank Landing(600 Central Avenue W.) on Octover 23rd featuring works by over two dozen artists working with everything from paint brushes to chainsaws .
