Ah, San Francisco! A city of steep hills and stunning vistas, where creativity flows like the Bays tides.

While there are countless wellknown attractions Fishermans Wharf, Golden Gate Park, and Alcatraz Island it is the hidden gems that truly capture the eclectic and quirky nature of this liberal mecca.

Lets start in the Mission District (24th St & Valencia St), a historic neighborhood home to not only some of SFs best burritos but also to Clarion Alley (Clarion Alley between 17th St & 18th St). This narrow alleyway is covered with colorful murals that express messages ranging from social justice to urban renewal. The art on display here will leave you speechless, as each mural has its own story to tell.

From there we head over to the Sunset District for a visit at General Store (4035 Judah St), a tiny boutique tucked away in an unassuming storefront selling handmade ceramics, vintage clothes and other oddities. Youll find strange knickknacks and charming pieces that perfectly embody San Frans offbeat character.

Next up we journey into North Beach (Columbus Ave) where City Lights Bookstore (261 Columbus Ave) resides. Opened by legendary poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti in 1953 as part of the Beatnik movement, it serves as both an independent bookstore and cultural center presenting events featuring emerging poets, authors or artists shaping our collective social dialogue today.

Our next stop takes us hiking uphill through Telegraph Hill Neighborhood towards Coit Tower Parking Lot / Greenwich Steps Intersection above Levi Strauss Plaza on Battery Street via Macondry Lane located at Filbert Street. That intersection offers amazing panoramic views of The Bay Area skyline from either side atop Russian Hill offering aweinspiring contrast picturesque against fog enveloping portions below while Marina Green stands alone inviting all passerby coastal silhouette image everpresent backdrop; perfect for a breathtaking photo.

If youre looking for something on the eccentric side, swing by the Castro District (Market St & Castro St) and check out Hot Cookie (407 Castro St). Lastly and certainly not least, we must visit The Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar located on Nob Hill in the Fairmont Hotel 950 Mason Street.
